Workshop Description

Are you at your wit's end? Struggling to get a client to make changes, recognize a need to change, or even just meet with you? Rolling with resistance is a great start; however, there are many other factors that contribute to resistance in clients. Want to learn some new strategies for dealing with difficult clients- kids, adults and families? Join me as we explore the factors behind resistance, identify new interventions for managing varying types of resistance to change, and reframing our practice beliefs and perspectives to make work with challenging clients more enjoyable, rewarding, and productive.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify the factors contributing to resistance
  • Participants will learn 3-5 new interventions for managing difficult clients
  • Participants will be able to recognize 1-3 new strategies for making their practice more rewarding and effective
