This session will share insights from Michelle William’s diversity playbook that will help organizational leaders examine their current DEI efforts. In this interactive workshop, Michelle will guide participants through her trademarked SHIFT model of organizational change. With group dialogue and engagement, participants will walk away with several tools to help access their current diversity efforts and progress along a desired continuum toward becoming a more inclusive organization.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will examine the why, what, how, and when of leading DEI efforts within their organizations.
• Participants will walk away with a roadmap to guide them through organizational change towards becoming a more inclusive organization.
• Participants will gain a greater awareness of best practices within non-profit organizations regarding cultivating inclusive cultures.

Presenter Bio:

Michelle D. Williams, MTS, CDE®, is the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Firefly Children and Family Alliance, as well as, a writer, speaker & CEO of Shalom Consultants. One of her greatest joys in life is helping people and organizations develop meaningful relationships across lines of difference. She is the co-author of “Diversity Playbook: Recommendations and Guidelines for Christian Organizations”; and a Certified Diversity Executive.
