Workshop Description

Informed Consent, Cultural Competence and Competence are all areas of ethical risk that providers may frequently encounter. Navigating these risks while maintaining NASW Standards can become second nature when you understand how to integrate these requirements into practice. This session will review Standards 1.03, 1.05, and 4.01 with opportunities for discussion and interaction.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will increase their understanding of NASW Code of Ethics 1.03, 1.04 and 4.01.
  • Participants will increase their understanding of how to integrate these requirements into practice
  • Participants will be able to put learning into action by reviewing case scenarios in small groups that identify risks and the ways to avoid those risks.
