Workshop Description

When providing services to youth and their families it can be difficult to identify and prioritize what should be addressed. In this workshop we will explore prevalent risk factors for youth and their families, as well as how to address those factors. We will also define and identify needs, protective factors and potential responses based on identified risks. The audience will participate by identifying risks, needs, and responsivity through a case study.

Learning objectives:

  • Participants will be able define risk, needs, protective factors and responsivity.
  • Participants will be able to assess risk, needs, protective factors and responsivity for youth and their families.
  • Participants will practice identifying risk, needs, protective factors and potential responses through a case study.
