Youth workers are on the front lines of supporting students grappling with anxiety and stress. This interactive session equips professionals with practical tools to promote resilience and cultivate positive thinking in the youth they serve. Through engaging activities, real-world scenarios, and actionable strategies, participants will leave with a toolkit to empower anxious students to navigate challenges, reframe negative thoughts, and build emotional strength.

  • Participants will identify common signs of anxiety and stress in youth and understand their impact on behavior and learning
  • Participants will apply practical, hands-on strategies to promote resilience and positive thinking in their daily interactions with youth.
  • Participants will develop an actionable plan to incorporate resilience-building and anxiety-reduction techniques into their professional practice.

Presenter Bio:

Samantha Vidal has over 15 years of experience as a school counselor in Indiana. She values collaboration and partnerships that enhance equitable systems and effective interventions, identify achievement gaps, and meet the needs of all students.
