Understanding why change can potentially be so unsettling for your staff and teams is key to effectively navigating the process. We will explore the adult hierarchy of needs to get tangible insights and strategies for anticipating the pain points of change in order to make your process smoother!

Learning objectives:

  • Participants will understand the five components of the adult hierarchy of needs.
  • Participants will apply the components of the adult hierarchy of needs to their own experiences with change in the workplace.  
  • Participants will gain insights to improve the success of future changes in the workplace.

Presenter Bio:

Lena Darnay is a dynamic and strategic leader in education, workforce development, and grant-funded initiatives, currently serving as the Director of Major Projects and Grants at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC). With nearly 20 years of experience, Lena has held key leadership roles across the education sector, including Director of Professional Learning, District Instructional Technology Specialist, Career Academy Coordinator, and School Librarian.
