Explore why individual therapy for kids may not be working and learn how to decrease symptoms faster for children in therapy by engaging the family in the therapeutic relationship.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will be able to identify at least three reasons why individual therapy can be less effective than family therapy for children.
• Participants will increase their knowledge of more effective modalities.
• Participants will learn at least three skills for engaging families in the therapeutic relationship.

Presenter Bio:

Charlotte Cox is a co-owner of a private practice with a background as a child therapist with experience working with children with trauma, neurodivergence and those involved with foster care and adoption. Charlotte uses an attachment focused approach with her clients and believes that families should feel empowered to help their children with mental health struggles.
