♦This session is appropriate for individuals in supervisory or executive leadership roles.
Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) is uniquely geared to teach direct support staff critical skills for preventing and defusing disruptive or risk behavior without using physical restraints.
As childcare workers, it is our duty to ensure our children’s rights are advocated for. The expectation is for the child/children in our care to be treated kindly and humanely always. This will help staff to avoid overreacting or underreacting, and it will help to avert a potential crisis.

- The crisis prevention model will help staff stay in compliance with DCS Residential Master contract and all 465 IAC codes. The Indiana Administrative Codes relate to child welfare services in the state of Indiana. These codes cover various aspects of childcare, including physical facilities, safety, health, and placement.
Presenter Bio:
Dr. Haisley Adeshina is a seasoned healthcare administrator and scientist specializing in mental, developmental, social and behavioral healthcare. With a Doctorates Degree in Healthcare Sciences, Dr. Adeshina’s research interests contribute to our understanding of various developmental health conditions and interventions.
